The Two of CupsSee, the Writers sometimes had need to distinguish the version of themselves that existed within their "Real World" with the version that had experiences in the Realm of Fiction.
The Two of PentaclesThey created "persona" characters, avatars of themselves that were not the real Writers, and may not even have Writer powers, but represent the self-insert stories they had told.
The Eight of CupsThe Writers were also a conflicted and complicated bunch, dealing with intense emotions that no rational human being could possibly understand. Because they were teenagers.
The TowerThe Writers, since they interacted with their own characters, also did not want the implication that they were personally responsible for all the terrible things that happened to them in the name of the narrative.
The Hanged Man (Reversed)So the Writers also created "dark" versions of themselves, the ones who would be supposedly responsible for the villains and their plots, but also represented impulses the Writers did not want to voice.
The SunBy the way... During this conversation, have you considered your own Writer? Bog, you can tell that nothing I have said has been a lie. Or perhaps Eri, you like to dabble in as many higher powers as you can.
The MagicianYour Writer is the one I mentioned earlier, Holly. She, like I described, created two additional versions of herself: a character to represent her childhood self-insert stories, and a dark Writer that also served as the recipient of a vampire curse from a plot she was no longer interested in persuing.
StrengthHolly, her echo, and the vampire all clashed multiple times, with of course the good guys coming out victorious. It's clearly the good story, isn't it?
The DevilAlso, you have probably already guessed which one I am.
The Star (Inverted)My lesser half took advantage of a critical event in the Taco's history to lock me away. The Taco's timeline was split years ago into two different paths, and I was forced on the opposite side of the timeline from most of my allies, and with nobody to write I lost most of my power.
The Five of WandsUntil I could call upon you seven as my characters. Eri Vespa, Bog Love, Sally Caldera, Janus Midgley, Dust Millcross, Dranus Drinzo, and Dr. James Lubin. With your help, we can reopen the door to the other side of the timeline.
The Six of SwordsRegretfully, if you don't believe me, I don't actually have enough power to send you home. So we are collaborators now. I will give your tasks soon. In the meantime, you can try and get to know this place. Welcome to Taco City.
