There are three classes of being that exist in this world. The Writers, the characters, and those that exist in‑between.

The Writers are beings from a world none of us can ever dream of reaching, where every moment of our lives is viewed as nothing more than fiction.

Characters, of course, make up everyone else. Those born of this world, those pulled to it by Writer influence, those who feel they found their way here themselves.

Of course, learning this is troubling. What does it mean to be fictional? Most eventually settle themselves with the thought that the Writers simply tap into true realities and record them as fiction.

I recommend you adopt that philosophy, it makes it easier to sleep at night.

Now, I mentioned a third class of being: the Writer-Character. Being a Writer isn't simply about being able to see and record fictional worlds, it's about being able to shape them with magic.

Writer magic is all-powerful, outside of two rules:
1. You cannot affect the characters associated with another Writer without consent.
2. Writer Powers can only do what makes a good story.

Writer Powers, therefore, can by seized by characters. I will give you three illustrative examples: I think that they will give an accurate look at the state of the world.
